What we collect
- We do not ask for accounts or personal data to browse the map.
- We use your location only if you grant it from the browser, and only to center the map and compute distances.
- If you join the Tribe, we store a nickname and a pet emoji you choose. We never ask for your real name.
- Ads are served via Google AdSense, which may set its own cookies.
- Analytics use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — cookieless and aggregated.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your location with third parties.
- We do not track your activity outside this site.
Local data on your device
- localStorage holds: your language, onboarding state, tribe nickname, favorites, and recently viewed places.
- You can wipe it all from your browser settings at any time.
Going live — how we protect you
- Your location is only shared while you choose to "Go live". It's deleted automatically after 30 minutes or when you stop manually.
- Your position is fuzzed to about 80 metres for people you have not waved with before. Only "familiar faces" see your exact location.
- You can silently block anyone: they are not told, they stop seeing you on the map, and their waves are dropped.
- Received waves are kept for up to 7 days, then deleted. Live sessions are deleted after 7 days.
- The "Date" intent requires an explicit 18+ confirmation. Profiles without it never see pins with that intent.
Safety and reporting
- Every profile and every post can be reported. Confirmed reports lead to suspension or a ban, depending on severity.
- For urgent safety issues, email us directly: contacto@pet-friendly.info.
- We will never ask for passwords, bank details, or phone numbers via direct message.
- If someone contacts you asking for any of those, report and block them.

- Write to us to request access, correction or deletion of any data we may hold about you.
